Neighborhood Villages and ECCHO-Latino “are pleased to present Creando Raíces Fuertes en la Educación Temprana (Creating Strong Roots in Early Childhood Education), a conference conducted entirely in Spanish [with English translation] that will bring together early childhood educators, leaders, and advocates from across Massachusetts for a day of learning, connection, and inspiration.”

All educators are invited to explore the intersection of early relational health and the business of child care, while celebrating the powerful influence of Latino leadership in the early childhood education sector across Massachusetts.

The conference will be Saturday, August 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at HOPE Center for the Arts, 150 Bridge Street in Springfield, Mass. Click here to see the program and register for the event.

This week, the conference hosts—Harold Antonio Blanco, Co-Founder and Executive Director of ECCHO-Latino and Lisa R. García, Director of Early Relational Health at Neighborhood Villages—shared their vision for the conference on The 9:30 Call:

The conference will have two keynote speakers.

Thelma Ramirez, a Research Manager at the EASEL Lab at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education, will give the morning keynote address titled, “Early Relational Health in Early Childhood Education: The Power of Everyday Relationships.”

And Waleska Lugo-DeJesús, the Chief Equity Officer (CEO) of Inclusive Strategies, will give the afternoon keynote, “Caring with Love, Leading with Courage: Equity, Belonging, and the Future of Latino Leadership in Early Childhood Education.”
