Tomorrow and Thursday, the Department of Early Education and Care — in partnership with WIDA Early Years — is hosting a two-day institute on the WIDA Early English Language Development (E-ELD) Standards Framework.

“Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the WIDA Early English Language Development (E-ELD) Standards Framework, and how to apply that understanding to their daily work with children,” according to a program announcement.

We recently blogged about E-ELD here.

Participants who attend the institute will be able to:

• “Identify the foundational principles and components of the WIDA E-ELD Standards Framework”

• “Connect the WIDA E-ELD Standards Framework to the Massachusetts Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences and/or Head Start Child Development and Early Learning Framework,” and

• “Apply the WIDA E-ELD Standards Framework to daily routines and activities throughout a variety of early education and care settings”

The event details:

Wednesday, April 22, 2015 to Thursday, April 23, 2015
8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Sheraton Framingham & Conference Center
1657 Worcester Rd, Framingham, MA 01701

Registration is free. Participants can also receive Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) for an extra fee of $15.

Can’t make the conference? You can buy the E-ELD Standards here.
